    Hi there, I would like to have my layout pretty much the same as your demo but I am having trouble with this.

    Here’s a mockup I did https://www.dropbox.com/s/6rbay5tx82odg35/mock-website.png?dl=0

    I’m making good progress now, but how do I add the 3 buttons under the banner please? http://rubywax.co.uk/rwweb/ I added a widget but it doesn't show...

    See > http://screencast.com/t/rqNdzQqdM

    I read the doc on how to upload demo content, but I am still stuck on how to add the above...

    Can you help?

    Thanks,
    Steve Light

    Hi Steve,

    My guess is that your theme is not the latest version. Please go to your profile on themeforest and in your Downloads section download LefeCoach. That should be the latest version 1.1.3, which will fix everything for you and even add many useful features. Update your theme on server.

    Here you can find a list of changes:

    https://themeforest.net/item/life-coach-personal-page-wordpress-theme/15597200#item-description__version-1-1-3-august-3-2016

    Please let us know how everything goes.

    Ok great, so I have updated the theme, but my widgets aren't showing. Please help http://rubywax.co.uk/rwweb/ I am using a child theme and I have made a few small CSS changes.

    /*************** ADD YOUR CUSTOM CSS HERE  ***************/

    .search-box {display: none;}

    .page-title {display: none;}

    Just a note on this, isn't it a bit clunky having to download the theme again every time it updates? Why haven't you got an update button in WordPress?

    Thanks,

    Steve

    Hi Steve,

    This is really confusing. Can you please provide me with the wordpress admin access and FTP just in case.

    I will take a look and tell you what it was. And if it was a fault on our side I will fix it and add fixes to the next update which will follow right away.

    Also about your suggestion of update system. Thank you. Working on it now and will add it as soon as it passes all the tests.

    Steve,

    You've removed wp-admin access. Did you decide this yourself?

    Hi Steve,

    I guess the reason of this happening is an outdated php version on your server: 5.4.45

    http://rubywax.co.uk/rwweb/info.php

    Wordpress recommends using 5.6 or higher

    https://wordpress.org/about/requirements/

    What is happening: Wordpress at some point cannot get a list of widgets in a widget area. And it is somehow php related as it is happening inside Wordpress core.

    Can you contact you hosting provider and request that they update PHP on your account to version 5.6?

    And of course keep in touch. We want to be sure that the problem is not in our theme. Otherwise we will provide update with all needed fixes. But for now I can only blame the PHP version

  • Steve replied

    Thank you! I just updated the server to php 5.6. The widgets aren't showing. Can you check please? Thanks :-)

    Oh man! It was always in front of us!

    I had to disable Sidebars Unyson Extension as it created the error. Don't worry as I don't recall using it in any place in this theme. We will definitely check our theme for Compatibility with this extension.

    Go check.
