    Hi, is there any way to do an installation of the demo content - pages, blurred images etc. - but NOT delete all existing plugins etc.?

    This is highly strange, pretty much all themes i've installed in the past keep the existing content alive...

    Hello, Dear Rob!

    In this case we recommend you to install theme with demo content in some kind of test/temp directory, for example: www.yourwebsite.com/testsite

    After demo content installation you you may transfer the content from your main site to test site.

    For example, you may transfer your posts and media from old websbite to new using this tutorial: 

    First of all please export your previous posts from your old blog via WP Dashboard => Tools => Export:

    http://nimb.ws/k4PQ6x - download first xml file.

    and export media with the similar way and download second xml file: http://nimb.ws/pMaQNq

    Then go to your new website in WP Dashboard => Tools => Import => Install WordPress importer: http://nimb.ws/DBWftV

    Run importer an upload first XML file => click "Upload and Import" with the following settings: http://nimb.ws/fm0l12

    Pay your attention at the option:  Download and import file attachments. It would activated.

    Then upload and export second XML file with media.

    As result you will receive your blog posts with media inside in your new blog: http://nimb.ws/RIuEXB
